LOCAL
Please pray
- for the three teenagers recently jailed for life for the murder of Paul Erhahon, and the other three teenagers given shorter sentences after the same incident;
- for their families and friends;
- for Paul’s family as they mourn and come to terms with his loss;
- for the local centre set up to help young victims of crime to regain their confidence;
- for the recent meeting held to discuss safety issues with the Police, Council and other agencies, that it will make a difference in the Borough.
- LINC prayer meeting will be on July 7th at 7.30 at Church Hill Baptist.
NATIONAL
Please pray for all those especially vulnerable in the present credit crunch situation;
- for those unable to work and on benefit;
- for the unemployed and unemployable;
- for those with high mortgages and the fear of negative equity;
- for the work of debt counsellors, bank managers and financial advisers.
INTERNATIONAL
Please pray
- for the marginalised sectors of society in Bangladesh: women, children, elderly and disabled people who are especially vulnerable to disaster;
- for the Bangladeshi people still affected by Cyclone Sidr last November;
- for the measures taken to reduce devastation in future emergencies;
- for families living in fear of losing their homes to flooding;
- for the 45% of the population living beneath the poverty line;
- for people forced to become environmental refugees.
